Description

The University of Michigan Persian Student Association (PSA) is a volunteer student organization that sponsors Persian cultural and social events and activities to promote an understanding and appreciation of our culture. PSA events are planned and organized by a board of five students and has Membership from a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students. The largest PSA event is the Annual Noruz Cultural Show, which features a variety of dances, skits, musical performances, and fashion shows. The first show was held during March of 1999 with an audience of 500 people, while the Noruz show last year was performed for almost 1000 people. Each year the show continues to grow bigger and better, thanks to the support of the Persian community. The Noruz show this year will be on Saturday March 30th, 2002 at the Power Center for Performing Arts in Ann Arbor. An after party will follow the show, with music spun by DJ Reza from Boston. Tickets will go on sale at the end of February. More show and ticket sale information will be available soon on the PSA website, www.umich.edu/~persians
