The new findings means that while HRT is still an acceptable option for the treatment of menopausal symptoms in certain cases, the decisions for a women considering whether to use HRT and for how long has become more complex. Questions you have to ask your doctor are: (1) why you want to be on HRT? (2) Your personal benefits with HRT use, and (3) you increase risks with HRT use, taking into account your individual and family history for conditions such as heart disease and breast cancer.
