The topic wasnear and dear to their hearts. They hadeach been touched by this deadly diseaseeither directly or indirectly. They startedtalking about wanting to do somethingabout eradication of Breast Cancer anddecided to plan a fundraising event.Through the next 30 days, “Team HighSpirit” worked hard to secure the Location,Food, and Entertainment. On September14th the Iranian community embraced theirinitiative by attending the fundraising gala.The event was at the Greenfield Manor ofDearborn. Food was catered by PARSRestaurant and entertainment wasprovided by DJ Roham. Misters, HamidServati, Bahram Sohizad, Human Agha,Mohsen Arfaie, & Hamid Sanjagsazprovided musical entertainment. Therewas a silent auction of variety of itemsprovided by friends. They also raffled off anumber of prizes provided by friends andacquaintances. The reception by theIranian community was tremendous andTeam High Spirit managed to raise $12,500.00 through the event and their website for this great cause and donated theproceeds to the Susan G. KomanFoundation to support Breast CancerResearch. Three of the ladies then tookon the challenge of walking 60 miles in 3days at the end of September to furthersupport the cause and ascertain theircommitment for eradication of BreastCancer.(Team High Spirit) would like to thankeveryone who put forth a helping hand tomake this initiative a success.
