با اینکه در بعضی از مجامع ایرانی مقاله سپاسو افسوس مورد انتقاد قراد گرفت اما من بدوناینکه از نظریات هموطنان دیگر در این نوشتاراستفاده کنم نظر شخصی خود را با مقاله افسوس و صد افسوس شروع میکنم.از دوران دانشجویی خود تا کنون که با فعالیتهایدانشجویی میشیگان آشنایی کامل دارم بیاد ندارمکه فعالیتهای دانشجویان 4 ساله اخير خصوصادر زنده کردن نام و سنت ایرانی با هیچ دورانیقابل قیاس باشد. باید توجه داشت که اغلب اینجوانان دانشجوحتى وطن اصلی خود را ندیده اندو خوب یا بد با زبان فارسی تا حدی بیگانههستند. با اینکه در عرض چهار سال فعالیتخود توانسته اند که در جشنهای نوروزی شرکتکنند گان را از 300 نفر به 900 نفر افزایشدهند و باز ناگفته نماند که اغلب این دانشجویاناز نخبگان و بهترین شاگردان دانشگاه هستند کهشب و روز درس می خوانند و با اینهمه ازخواب و خوراک خود بریده برنامه ای بآنزیبایی و پر محتوا عرضه می کنند، که یا اشکشادی را از دیده ها میر يزانند و یا لبخند شادیرا بر لبها و چهره ها میدوانند.وظیفه دانشجوی امروز و مرد میدان فردا اگرخود را ایرانی بداند اینست که از هر فرصتیبرای شناساندن وطن و سنت مملکت خویش وآبا اجدادیش استفاده کند و این در یک کشوربیگانه میسر نیست مگر اینکه بزبان مردمآنکشور سخن گفته شود خصوصا در جشنی کههمه شاهد بودیم بیش از نیمی از مردم انگلیسیزبان بوده اند.سخن از سرود ملی رفته است آن که آقای دکتربه ادعای خودشان دیر به مجلس تشریف آوردندو عظمت سرود ای ایران را که با نشان دادناسلایدهای زیبایی از ایران که خیلی هم طولانیبود و همه را به هیجان آورده و به قیام وا داشتهبود ملا حظه نفرموده اند و اما اگر بیاد آوریم کهدانشجویان عزیزمان اعلام کردند که هر کجالازم باشد مطالب ترجمه خواهد شد و از اول تاآخر برنامه به عهد خود وفا نمودند، تعجب میکنمکه در آن لحظات این آقای دکتر کجا تشریفداشتند شاید فقط بزبان فرانسه صحبت می کنند وفارسی را فراموش کرده اند و شاید هم هنوز ازمرز ایران خارج نشده اند.من معتقد نیستم که جشن بی عیب بودهمانطوریکه هیچ جشنی بی عیب نبوده است،ولی باید قبول کرد حسن جشن دانشجویان هزاربرابر پیش از عیب آن بوده است و امروز مابجای اینکه در راه اصلاح برنامه های آیندهدانشجویان قدم مثبتی برداریم و با ارائهفلكلورهای زیبای ایرانی که آنها بی خبر از آنهستند و برای برنامه های آینده شان راه نمایشانباشیم قلم انتقاد بدست میگیریم و همه چیز رایکجا تخطئه می کنیم و این بی انصافی محضاست.بخاطر انتقادات بی جا بود که امسال تعدادی ازرقصهای زیبای ایرانی را دختران غیر ایرانیاجرا کردند. عرق شرم بر جبین ما باد، رقصرا برای یک دانشجوی نو جوان ایرانی دربرنامه های نوروزیش گناه و زشت می شماریماما خود ما بزرگسالان در هر جشن و کنسرتیچنان می رقصيم که در پیست رقص جا برایدیگران باقی نمی گذاریم. آیا حیف نیست کهبخاطر یک درخت کهنه و پوسیده گلهای زیباییک باغ را ندیده بگیریم و از زیباییش بهره مندنشویم. با آرزوی توفیق بیشتر برای دانشجویانو همه ایرانیان عزیز. محمد انصاریپدر یک دانشجو

As our readers have noticed, part of the newsletter has become an informal 'forum' where members can exchange ideas and share concerns about the community. Thecommentary published in our last issue created a great deal of interest. In this issue, we are including the Persian Student Association (PSA) response in English and a letter from a parent in Persian. We also have a letter about Iranian-American topic which fits into this discussion. We emphasize again, the views presented in these letters are those of the author(s), and notnecessarily those of the Persia House of Michigan. We hope this will be a productive and positive forum in which to exchange ideas as our community grows and develops. We also invite all our readers to write to us about “Tolerance or Lack of it in Iranian Communities” for publication.

روز یکشنبه دوم ماه ژوئن در کتابخانه بلوم فيلدغربی با سعید یوسف شاعر معاصر نشستیداشتیم. جای بسیاری از شماها خالی بود.گرفتاری اهل و عیال و یا برنامه های جنبیدیگری که در این ایام در میشیگان بر پا است مارا از دیدن وجود گرامیتان محروم کرده بود!باری سخن جالب بود و دلنشین. گرفتاریشعرای قديم وكهنه سرا در برابر آزادی بیشتردر فرم شعر نوین در قالب شعر نیمایی در طرحمسائل روز.اگر حافظه یاری کند این مسئله مطرح بود کهشعر بین ایرانیان هنری ویژه است و مقبولیتهمگانی دارد. درست بخاطر همین تمایل گستردهبه شعر است که شاعری نقشی محوری در قیاسبا سایر هنرهای کلامی و تصویری بازی میکند.میدانیم که شاعر از دیر باز نقش عمده دررساندن آگاهی به مردم جامعه ما بازی کرده وباین ترتیب از کانونهای اصلی فرهیختگی ودانایی بوده است. شاعر ما در همجوشی باعناصر دیگر هوش و خرد یا در ترکیب یا لحظههای شهود و کشف، با جهل و تاریک اندیشی وتعصب در افتاده است. گاه در چهره فردوسیشاعر تاریخ گذشته با روایات حماسه ها غبار از ذهن فراموشکاری زدوده، گاه دلاور عرصهعرفان شده و شعر لحظه های خلسه و سماع راسروده، چنان که مولوی بود. گاه پیام آور تعقلو مدارا و دنیا دیدگی شده و سعدی نام گرفته وگاه رندی فرزانه در نرد عشق، غزلهای وسوسهرا سروده و حافظ خوانده شده است و تازه درکنار ایشان خیامی بوده که در هستی ما ژرفترینشک و تردیدها را کرده است.ما با این پیش زمینه تاریخی و بلند پایگان سنتیدوران کلاسیک را طی میکنیم و به تجدد شعریمیرسیم. در اینجاست که با ذهنیت نیمایفرهیخته، زمانه جدید را در می یابیم و شعر نومتولد میشود. تولدی که از بطن واکنش سرایش دوران مشروطه و در امتداد شعر بیداری عارفها، عشقی ها ، ایرج میرزاها پا به عرصههستی گذاشته. از این زمان به بعد شعر در بیرون از ساختار قدرت و حاكميت حادث میشود. و این یکی از وجوه تمایز شعر نو با شعردوران کلاسیک است.بحث بدانجا کشیده میشود که در شعر امروز برخلاف شعر سنتی نه كلمات شعری و غیرشعری داریم و نه مضامین شعری و غیرشعری، هر واژه و هر مضمونی در شعر راهدارد، تنها باید درست بکار گرفته شود.نیما در جایی گفته اشعار من وزن دارند، منتهانه اوزان قديم ... برخی از مفاهیم را میتوان درهمان اوزان و قافیه های قدیم بیان کرد ولی عیبکار اینجاست که زبان زمان ما و طرز زندگیما دیگر قادر به این کار نیست. مثلا اگربخواهیم داستانی به بحر متقارب فردوسیبسازیم، با بکار بردن کلماتی که مربوط بهزندگی و مایحتاج امروزی ماست از قبيلماشین، قفسه، راه آهن، هواپیما .... و غیره کارخنک و بی مزه ای میشود و لطف هنری خودرا از دست میدهد.... و و و" باری باقی اینغزل زین سان همی شما را" فصلنامه بیش ازاین بما فضا نداده است.كاش جوانان را تشویق کنید که در این جلساتشرکت کنند. لذت بردن از شعر نیز یک هنراست، بد نیست این هنر را بیاموزیم.محمود معلمیان
