Creator An entity primarily responsible for making the resource Unknown Date A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the resource 2002 - Summer Description An account of the resource پس از سالها آرزوی ایرانیان، میشیگان به جمعاستان هائی که نوروز را به گونه ای برسمیتشناخته اند درآمد. پس از چند تماس میان یکی ازاعضای هیأت مدیره و آقای مارک شولمن،نماینده ی مجلس میشیگان از وست بلومفيلد وشرکت ایشان در جلسه هیأت مدیره 18 ژانویهتصمیم بر این گرفته شد که دو پروژه ی"قطعنامه برسمیت شناختن نوروز در میشیگان"و پیشنهاد "هفته ی فرهنگ ایران" پی گیریشود. برای تهیه متن قطعنامه از چند قطعنامه یمشابه بویژه شهردار سین سیناتی استفاده و بهمجلس نما يندگان میشیگان پیشنهاد شد. کوششدر این بود که قطعنامه به موقع برای نوروزامسال به تصویب برسد. استقبال از این قطعنامهدر میشیگان و ایالتهای دیگر و در ایران بیش ازانتظار و چشم گیر بود. شاید جو منفی سیاسیمیان آمریکا و ایران به این استقبال کمک کردهاست. تلویزیونها و رادیوها از آن سخن گفتندو تلویزیون ایرانی "تپش" كاليفورنيا برنامه تلفنیبرای قدردانی از دست اندر کاران داشت. درمیشیگان، چند رادیو نیز خبر نوروز را پخشکردند و به ایرانیان تبریک گفتند. روزنامه هایفارسی کیهان لندن و سروش ترجمه آنرا چاپکردند. در اینترنت، متن کامل قطعنامه را درکنار تبریک جورج بوش رییس جمهور آمریکاچاپ کردند. ما هم با سربلندی قطعنامه را قابکردیم و در برنامه های خانه ایران به نمایشگذاشتیم که دوستان اصل آنرا به بینند.
